I would like to introduce Lionel Lauch, Spiritual Healer.
Lionel Lauch is a Gundijtmara Kirrae Wurrung-Bundjalung man. Like many aboriginals, Lionel suffered greatly in his early years. Lionel’s mother and uncle, the singer Archie Roach, were part of the stolen generation.
Fostered on the Mornington Peninsula, Lionel was separated from his aboriginal roots. Around the age of 25 he began studying all he could about his true culture. He realised that he could make a difference by teaching others.
Lionel launched Living Culture in 2018 and since then has been leading walks in coastal and bush settings, teaching people about the flora and fauna. Respect for nature, for the earth and all living creatures is his message.
Lionel works with individuals as well as many groups, including young people coming out of detention.
It is to Lionel’s credit that he has succeeded in turning his life around.
I am very honoured to have Lionel as one of the nine men in my exhibition.
